PM visits S Korea to boost strategic ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reached Seoul on a two-day visit to South Korea. Describing South Korea as an important partner for India's key initiatives such as 'Make in India', the PM ahead of his visit said as fellow democracies the two countries share values and vision for regional and global peace.

"The visit will strengthen our special strategic partnership with South Korea and add dynamism to our Look East Policy," Raveesh Kumar, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs tweeted.

During the visit, Prime Minister Modi will have bilateral and business engagements and unveil a bust of Mahatma Gandhi. He will also accept the Seoul Peace Prize conferred upon him in recognition of his dedication to improving international cooperation, raising global economic growth and furthering the development of democracy through anti-corruption and social integration efforts.
