The delegation also urged the Union Home Minister to ensure that the proposed 125th Constitutional Amendment Bill, which includes provisions related to Clause 4.3 of the BTR Accord, is introduced and passed during the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament. They also sought the implementation of Article 280 concerning financial devolution to the BTR.

Further, the leaders demanded the inclusion of more villages from Biswanath and Sonitpur districts into the BTR and pushed for hill district status to be conferred upon the Bodo-Kachari population in the Karbi Anglong district. Additionally, they requested that the Karbi community be recognized under the Scheduled Tribe (Plains) category.

The BTR leadership clarified that the current demands are not tied to the BTR elections but rather must be addressed prior to the 2026 Assam Legislative Assembly elections. The delegation emphasized that timely resolution of these issues is crucial for maintaining peace and fulfilling the commitments made under the BTR Accord.
