President Ram Nath Kovind will be addressing the nation on the eve of the 72nd Independence Day. The All India Radio and Doordarshan will be broadcasting the event live from 7:00 pm in Hindi followed by English.

AIR is set to broadcast the event in regional languages from 8:00 pm onwards on its respective regional networks. The broadcast will be on Hindi and English followed by regional languages on regional  Doordarshan channels.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver his speech from Red Fort on 15th Aug.

The Netaji Subhash Marg,Lothian Road ,SP Mukharjee Marg and Chandni Chowk ,Nishad Raj Marg and Esplanade Road and its Link Road will be closed from 5:00 to 9:00 in the morning.

Movement of goods vehicles between Nizamuddin Bridge and Wazirabad Bridge will be prohibited from Tuesday midnight to 11 am on Wednesday. Parking facilities will not be available at the Delhi Metro Station till 2 pm.

However, the railway station, bus station and hospitals near the venue of Independence Day function roads will remain open.
