The Supreme Court on Sunday called for the letters related to the formation of the government in Maharashtra.
Hearing a plea ofCongress, Shiv Sena and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) against MaharashtraGovernor Bhagat Singh Koshyari's decision of inviting BJP's Devendra Fadnavisto form the government in the State, the apex court asked Solicitor GeneralTushar Mehta to place on record two letters – the letter by the Governorinviting the BJP to form the government, and the letter of support of DevendraFadnavis, who was appointed Chief Minister of Maharashtra on November 23.

The SC also issued noticeto CM Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, the State of Maharashtra, andthe Union government of India.
The Court will then passappropriate orders tomorrow.
