After President's Rule was imposed in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray hoped that a new political alliance between Shiv Sena, NCP, and the Congress will work out in the State. Thackeray said that if the BJP and People's Democratic Party (PDP) could find a way to work together, it is possible in the current situation as well.
"We are from different ideologies but we can cometogether just like the BJP has done," Thackeray said, while addressing themedia on Tuesday evening. "The BJP and Shiv Sena were together for many yearsbut now Shiv Sena has to go with the Congress-NCP. We'll hold further talkswith both of them," he further added.

Meanwhile, addressing the media, senior Congressleader Ahmed Patel said that the Congress and the NCP have not committed toShiv Sena yet. "The Congress-NCP are yet to discuss few issues; discussionswith Sena will take place only after the issues are sorted out," Patel said Tuesdayevening.
