On the Day 13, Indian sailors managed to add 3 more medals to India's medal count including 1 silver and 2 bronze medal. Sailor Varsha Gautham and Sweta Sgervega won a silver medal in the 49er FX sailing event. Varun Thakkar and Ganapathy Chengappa clinched bronze in men's 49er event.

While Harshita Tomar also bagged a bronze medal and took the medals count to 59. Earlier today, boxer Vikas Krishan smashed a bronze medal in the 75kg category after being declared unfit for the semifinal bout. So far at the Asiad Games, India has managed to clinch 14 gold, 23 silver and 29 bronze medals.

In the boxing 49 kg category event, Amit Panghal beat Philippines' Paalam Carlo in the semifinals and stormed into boxing finals to face Uzbekistan's Hasanboy Dusmatov.

On the other side, Indian women's hockey team will take on Japan in the gold match at the Asian Games 2018 tonight at 6:30 pm IST to clinch the gold. Women's hockey team will be hoping to catch the golden fish after a long run of 36-years and add another golden feather to India's cap.

Earlier on day 12, India's athletes added 2 golden feathers in its tally with Jinson Johnson in 1500m and women's team in 4x400m relay clinching gold. Indian men's team in 4x400m relay missed gold by a whisker and settled for silver while more medals came from the track and field events as Seema Punia claimed bronze in the women's discus while Chitra Unnikrishnan ended with a bronze in the women's 1500 meters.
