India’s R Ashwin to play for Worcestershire in English County Championship 

The Worcestershire Cricket Club has welcomed Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to play for the last two matches of the County Championship, to be played later in the year.

The 31 year old had already played four matches in the last season for the Worcestershire club, and made great impact for the team. He had taken 20 wickets and averaged 42.5 runs while batting.

Matt Rawnsley, the chief executive of Worcestershire has commented on Ashwin's return, saying that they are delighted to have him back as he is one of the best spinners in the world.

Kevin Sharp, Worcestershire Head Coach has also expressed happiness over the spinner's comeback and has said that it would be a "great fillip" for the team.

Ashwin would also be seen leading the spin attack by the Indian team in the upcoming five-match Test series against England, which starts on August 1.
