A passenger ferry carrying 40 people capsized in Bangladesh after colliding with a sand-laden vessel on Wednesday. Atleast 11 people are dead and many missing.
The incident happened on the Gumai river, 160 Km north of the capital city of Dhaka.
"So far, 11 bodies have been recovered. The rescue operation for those missing is ongoing," said district administrator Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman.
The dead include five children and three women.
