The whole of Sri Lanka experienced a power disruption on Monday due to a glitch in a transmission in the power grid.
As per reports, the failure took place in the afternoon and it took a long time to restore power.
A news report quoted the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) as saying that the disruption was caused by a sudden failure in the transmission system.
