Sneha was reported missing on July 7 after she failed to return to her hostel. Her family filed a missing person’s report at Mehrauli police station, triggering an extensive search operation by Delhi Police.

During the course of the investigation, officers recovered a handwritten note believed to have been left by Sneha. In the note, she expressed deep emotional distress and stated her intention to end her life by jumping from a bridge. She wrote: “I am leaving my life… I feel very unsuccessful and burdensome… living like this has become unbearable. This is my own decision; there is no conspiracy or pressure from anyone.”

Police sources said the note was found during a follow-up on clues related to her last known location. Her body was recovered from the Yamuna and has been sent for post-mortem examination.

While initial evidence points to suicide, the police have launched a full investigation to rule out any other possibilities. They are also speaking to Sneha’s friends, family, and university staff to better understand her mental health condition and any circumstances that may have led to her tragic decision.
