According to the data presented by John Hopkins University, the death toll from coronavirus infections in the United States crossed 150,000 on Wednesday evening.
The university also confirmed the nation has the largest coronavirus infection of 4.4 million cases. The coronavirus deaths in the US make up nearly 23% of the global pandemic deaths. The death tally counts for over 661,000.
The university data further stated that the infections have increased since May 27 when 100,000 had already passed away. Additionally, the epicenter has also shifted to the South and West US from the area around New York, which still has by far the highest count, for one state at more than 32,000.
