As geopolitical tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate, leading Indian airline IndiGo has issued a travel advisory informing passengers of possible flight delays and route diversions.
In a public statement released on X (formerly Twitter), IndiGo stated:
“In view of the evolving situation in the Middle East, some of our flights may experience delays or diversions. These adjustments are being made to ensure operations remain within safe and compliant airspace.”
The airline has advised all passengers to regularly check their flight status through official channels. It also assured that alternate travel options can be easily accessed via its website should any itinerary be affected.
IndiGo further added that it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure passenger safety and operational compliance.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding,” the airline said.
The advisory comes in the wake of Iran’s retaliatory missile strikes on U.S. military bases in Qatar and Iraq following U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities — developments that have prompted several nations and airlines to reroute or delay operations in the region.
Passengers flying on Middle East-bound routes or transiting over Gulf airspace are urged to stay updated and remain in touch with airline support for the latest information.
