In a dramatic escalation of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American forces have bombed three key Iranian nuclear sites — Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan — marking the United States' formal entry into the war on Israel’s side.
Trump, posting on his social media platform Truth Social, said, "American planes completed a very successful attack. All planes are now outside Iranian airspace. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow."
He praised the operation as a "HISTORIC MOMENT" and congratulated U.S. military personnel, writing:
"Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the world that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!"
Trump also announced that he would address the nation at 10 p.m. local time to detail the "very successful military operation" in Iran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu publicly praised Trump’s military action, stating:
“President Trump and I often say: ‘Peace through strength.’ First comes strength, then comes peace. And tonight, Donald Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength.”
Netanyahu confirmed that Israel’s military operations in Iran would continue "for as long as it takes" to neutralize what he described as "existential threats" from Iran’s nuclear capabilities and missile arsenal.
B-2 Bombers Used in Iran Strikes
According to a senior U.S. official cited by Reuters, B-2 stealth bombers were deployed in the Iran strikes. These aircraft are capable of carrying the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator — a 30,000-pound bomb designed to destroy deeply buried targets like Iran’s fortified nuclear facilities.
Just a day before the attack, reports indicated that B-2 bombers had been moved to the U.S. base in Guam, signaling potential action.
Rising Casualties Amid Ongoing Conflict
The war, which began with Israel’s launch of Operation Rising Lion, has already led to significant casualties. Over 600 people have reportedly been killed in Iran, according to a Washington-based Iranian human rights organization. Iran has retaliated with over 450 missiles and 1,000 drones, resulting in at least 24 fatalities in Israel.
