Pratidin Bureau

To attract voters, the sitting BJP MP and actor Hema Malini kick started her election campaign in her constituency on Sunday working in a wheat farm. Draped in a golden saree and sickle in her hand, the BJP MP began her campaign in Govardhan Kshetra.

She took to Twitter to share some pictures of her campaign and wrote, "Began my Lok Sabha campaign… with the Govardhan Kshetra, where I had the opportunity to interact with women working in the fields…"

Hema Malini filed her nomination papers after puja performed by UP CM Yogi Adityanath in Mathura on March 25. She had won from the same constituency by over 3,30,000 votes in 2014.
