Mom and Hindi Medium bag top honours at IIFA 2018

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2018 were announced on Sunday night in a star studded gala at the Siam Niramit theatre in Bangok.

Vidya Balan starrer Tumhari Sulu bagged the honour for Best Picture, while Sridevi and Irrfan Khan received the honour for Best Actress/Actor for their roles in Mom and Hindi Medium respectively.

Sridevi's award was collected by her husband Boney Kapoor. Producer Dinesh Vijan accepted the award on behalf of Irrfan, who is undergoing treatment for Neuroendocrine tumour in London.

Saket Chaudhary won the title of Best Director for Mom as Actress Konkona Sen Sharma took home the trophy for Best Debut Director for her movie 'A Death In The Gunj'.

Actors Shashi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, and Anupam Kher were applauded and acclaimed for their outstanding contribution to Indian cinema.

Bollywood icon Rekha bedazzled everyone with her performance on songs from her 1970s classic films as she returned to the IIFA stage after 20 years.
