Sunny Deol files nomination from Gurdaspur

Actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol on Monday filed his nomination from the Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency on BJP ticket. Before filing his nomination, Deol paid a visit to the Golden Temple and the Durgiana Temple and offered prayers.

Sunny filed the nomination a day after he met PM Modi on Sunday. After their meeting, the Modi posted a photo with the BJP leader and praised him in a tweet.

Sporting a navy blue turban and wearing a blue shirt, the 62-year-old was accompanied by his brother actor Bobby Deol.

Deol to face against sitting MP and Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar, AAP's Peter Masih and Punjab Democratic Alliance's (PDA) Lal Chand in the electoral fight from Gurdaspur seat.
