4 Militants held in Cachar

Assam Rifles troops and Jirighat police conducted a joint raid and have successfully nabbed 4 militants of the banned Zeliangrong United Front(ZUF)(a militant group of Manipur) from Namdailong village, located near  Assam-Manipur border in Cachar district.

Police identified the militants as Ahed Kamei, Namreihing, Goijunglung and Ilang Pamei respectively. Assam Rifles troops and police could seize AK47's  10 live bullets, 9MM gun's, 5 live bullets and M16 rifle's 6 live bullets.

Along  with this 21 live bullets, 5 mobile phones, 4sim cards, pan cards and extortion money were seized from their possession.

The militants are currently under police interrogation in Jirighat Police station.
