  • One person is missing and four others rescued after a boat capsized In Brahmaputra river, this evening.
  • As per reports, Kanak Mazumder, Arup Kalita, Junmoni Mahanta, Ratneswar Das had been rescued.
  • The boat was on its way to Rani Sapari, when it capsized.
  • Naba Kalita is still missing.
  • The search and rescue operation for the fifth occupant of the boat is still under way.
  • The state ferry services suspended from plying over Brahmaputra and Barak river till 5th May due to Cyclone FANI. However, the boat was plying over the river secretly – Reports said.
