AASU prevents AGP from Swahid Tarpan

Pratidin Bureau

Amid the protests regarding Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) across the state, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) had faced a terrible situation at the Batadrava region in Nagaon on Saturday.

Reportedly, the Asom Gana Parishad had organised an Organisational Meeting at the Chakalaghat region led by Mamoni Baruah, but suddenly a group of All Assam Students Union (AASU) workers led by Kritanjal Bora and Krishna Moni Bora of Hatichong region had reached the program and started chanting slogans against AGP as the top leaders of the party like Atul Barah, Phani Bhusan Chaudhury and Keshab Mahanta had supported the CAB unconditionally and insulted the 855 martyrs of the historic Assam Movement only to keep their Ministry.

Moreover, the AASU workers had stopped the AGP workers to do Swahid Tarpan, as they had no right to pay tribute to those martyrs, who had left their lives only for their motherland and asked the AGP workers to clear their stand regarding CAB.
