After Sankalpa Jatra, ‘Gana Satyagrah’ against CAB

After Krishak Mukti Sangram Samity  (KMSS) led 70 organisations Sankalpa Sikha Jatra, 70 organisations staged Gana Satyagrah against the centre proposed Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) from Saturday on the districts of Assam.

The 70 organisations will stage protest under Gana Satyagrah from 17 to 27 November.

The organization will also stage a indefinite hunger strike by the end of November at Delhi against the CAB.

All Assam Students Union (AASU) along with 28 other organisations have also been carrying out massive protests against the Citizenship Bill.

Earlier on Friday, participants of Sankalpa Sikha Yatra launched by 70 indigenous organisations, including Krishak Mukti Sangram Samity (KMSS) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 will enter Guwahati city on Friday even as the Assam government has clamped Section 144 CrPC to avoid untoward incident during the period.
