AGP slams Himanta over latter’s comment on the party

Pratidin Bureau

The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) took jibe at Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday. Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, AGP leader Manoj Saikia slammed Himanta Biswa Sarma saying whatever the BJP leader speaks is good for AGP.

Saikia further thrashed Himanta Biswa and said that AGP does not run by the orders of a leader, who shifts from one party to other like one changes their clothes. Saikia also said that AGP does not even run by the orders of Delhiwallas.

Stressing on Himanta's failure as health minister, Saikia said, "Instead of solving the Nurses' issue, he is busy on panchayat election campaigning."

Stating both BJP and Congress as same, AGP said, "BJP and Congress are now afraid of AGP and there is no difference between both the parties." The AGP also said that it is always with the indigenous people of the State and "One vote for BJP and Congress means settlement of one Bangladeshi."
