Amit Shah to address rally in Lakhimpur today

Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, BJP president Amit Shah will address the members of BJP Yuva Morcha in Lakhimpur on Sunday. Interestingly, amid the black flag protest in the State, the BJP president will fly the 2 KM area from Lilabari airport to the rally site in a helicopter.

Shah will reach Lakhimpur by 1:45 PM. Besides him, BJP leader Poonam Mahajan is also likely to address the gathering on the occasion.

The saffron party chief will hold discussions with the members of the party and also likely to discuss poll strategies with the NDA allies. Recently, NDA allies National People's Party (NPP), Mizo National Front (MNF) voiced against CAB. Also Assam's regional party AGP had walked out of the coalition with BJP in opposition to the Bill.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass and other leaders of the party will be present during the election rally.

Later in the day, he will inaugurate the construction work of State BJP office in Beltola, Guwahati.
