Another Employee of NF Railway Tests COVID-19 +

Another employee of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) has been tested COVID-19 positive. The person identified as Ajit Baishya is an officer of the Chief Mechanical Engineer Office.

The employee has been admitted to Jalukbari Ayurvedic Hospital which has been converted to COVID-19 hospital.

The Principal Chief Commercial Manager(PCCM) of NF Railway Aneet Dulat also diagnosed with COVID-19 positive onSunday.

With the report of Dulat's COVID-19 case, the employees concerned with his office area have been instructed to work from home from Monday and be available on the phone and other electronic means of communications, as per reports.

ShankerBose, a resident of Bylane-13, Pandu Joymotinagar, Jalukbari tested COVID-19positive on Thursday. The news reportedly led to chaos in NF Railway, HQ, andGM (Con.) offices at Maligaon.

The Covid-19 patient, who is reportedly a tea seller, visited the NFR office in the previous two weeks. In view of the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in and around Guwahati and in keeping with the level of alertness is maintained in the organization, it is requested that any Officer/Staff who might have come in contact with the said person in the office or outside, should immediately self-quarantine themselves duly taking precautionary measures and intimate to the same to this office, Amit Pratap Singh, Deputy Chief Accounts Officer/G, NF Railway, Maligaon said in a statement.

However,five more areas have been declared as containment zone. These are:  

(1) Adarsha Colony, near Soni Mandir

(2) Rly.Qtr.No.494 Nambari OfficerColony

(3) Rly.Qtr.No.28/B,Maligaon ShuttleGate

(4) Joyanagar, Maligaon
