Arms Smugglers Arrested in Tripura

The Tripura police on Friday informed that they successfully arrested three arms smugglers and procured a cache of arms and ammunition including Japanese pistols, a huge number of bullets and six sets of mobile phones.

Police spokesman Subrata Chakraborty said the arms smugglers were arrested in Puran Raj Bari village, 85 km south of here, during a routine patrol on Thursday night.

The village is close to the Bangladesh border.
