A court in Karimganj issued an arrest warrant against Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev on Thursday. The MLA did not appear before the court despite three warrants being issued against Dev.

As per reports, the case had been filed by a complainant namely Junaid Ahmed for delivering communal comments.

Shiladitya Dev, who is known for his controversial remarks, had to face a number of cases for making provocative statements since his entry to state politics.
