Assam: 2 Drug Peddlers Arrested In Tinsukia

Troopers of Assam Rifles arrested two drug peddlers and seized 22 grams drugs in Assam's Tinsukia on Sunday morning.

The drug peddlers were apprehended from Tirap Colliery under Margherita Sub Division in Tinsukia based on specific inputs.

A total of 22 grams of contraband drugs were recovered from their possession besides cash amounting to Rs 15,000. A motorcycle was also seized.

The arrested individuals were identified as Kamakhya Moran of Tekeri village Pengree, Margherita Sub Division and Dadu Mia of Namrup, Dibrugarh District.

They have been handed over to Ledo Police Outpost. Further investigation is underway.
