Assam CM hails security forces as “True Heroes”

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday evening applauded the significant role security forces have been playing to safeguard the public amid the fight against coronavirus in the state.

The CM interacted with on-duty personnel stationed at Zoo Road and expressed his gratitude for their selfless service to the city and the state at large.

Sonowal commending their service said, "Our security forces are playing a significant role in keeping the public safe, as our battle against #COVID19 reaches another critical phase in Assam," adding, "They are our true heroes".

Earlier today, 52 armed personnel living in the 240 transit camp within the premises of the Guwahati Railway Station have tested COVID-19 positive.
