Assam on Thursday recorded  1047  fresh cases of COVID-19 out of which 219 cases belong to Guwahati City, taking the total active cases tally to 9368  in the state.

The total number of positive cases registered in the state so far has been 28791.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the state stands at 19350. With 19,000 + tests in 24 hrs, the recovery rate is at 5.25%. On the other hand, the death toll has escalated to 70.
