AssamGovernor Jagdish Mukhi visited the Central Jail in Lokhara today, pertaining towhich the security of the facility had been tightened by the Police authorities.

It may benoted that on the night of August 1, an inmate, named Rahul Amin, was founddead under mysterious circumstances. Amin was accused in the 50 crore tractorand pump scam.

TheGovernor's presence to review the situation pertaining to Amin's death hasgained significance.

It hasbeen informed that Mukhi also inspected the environment prevalent inside thejail.
