Barpeta MP Abdul Khaleque has blamed Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for the ongoing community transmission in Assam.

While on a visit to take stock of the flood-affected region in Solmara, Nalbari, the MP stated that it was due to Sarma's fault that the pandemic situation in the state has entered the community transmission stage.

Khaleque also said that the pandemic has been politicized in Assam.

The Congress MP also took a dig at Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary by saying that it was due to the Minister's flippant attitude that the people of Dharmapur are reeling under floods.
