Bandh supporters attack vehicles at Dabaka

The 24-hour transport strike called by the All Assam Motor Transport Association (AAMTA) on Monday, demanding revision of fare to cope with increasing prices of fuel, has affected normal life in the state as public transport stay off the roads.

Bandh supporters, however, took to the roads and attacked private vehicles at Dabaka along with pelting stones at trucks.

Police forces were deployed to control the situation.
