BJP govt. brought peace in NE: Amit Shah

Pratidin Bureau

Exuding confidence, BJP President Amit Shah during electioneering in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday stated that the peace that prevails in Northeast India is only due to Narendra Modi-led BJP government.

Shah also asserted that the state became politically stable only after the party came into power.

It was only five years ago that the northeast was disturbed and there was hardly any development but after the BJP came into power it has brought peace to the region and paved way for its development, claimed Shah.

Shah also claimed that now all parts of NE have air and rail connectivity and in Arunachal alone, the govt has sanctioned Rs 50,000 crore for the development of roads.

From Arunachal Pradesh to Kanyakumari, Assam to Gujarat, the BJP will form government everywhere, the party's national president said, insisting that the winning streak of the party has started in this state.
