BJP, NPP to work together, Manipur govt stable: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Convener of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said Bharatiya Janata Party and NPP will work together in Manipur.

The four NPP MLAs L Jayentakumar (Keishamthong), Letpao Haokip (Chandel), Y Jaykumar, and N Kayisii (Tadubi) who withdrew their support from the BJP led government in Manipur were present and have changed their decision to support the N Biren Singh led BJP government in Manipur again.

Sarma asserted that they are present to resolve the political instability in Manipur at a meeting where Sarma, Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma leading the NPP delegation and deputy chief minister of Manipur Y Joy Kumar Singh met union minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda.
