Black flag to CM: AJYCP members detained

Several members of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) have been detained for their attempt to show 'black-flag' to the Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday in Nagaon. The members of AJYCP have been detained from Marowarypatty area in the town. The members of AJYCP had also hoisted flag in Majuli on Monday.

The CM was visiting Nagaon to take part in a public programme. According to reports, some black coloured hydrogen balloons were seen floating in the sky over the field where CM Sonowal was addressing the people.

Meanwhile, Krishak Sramik Unnayan Parishad also staged dharna programme opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in front of DC office in Nagaon. They also burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Sonowal and Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
