Coal Syndicate Continued Unabated in Assam: Durga Das Boro

CongressSpokesman Durga Das Boro on Tuesday said that the coal syndicate in the stateis still continued unabated with the support of Chief Minister SarbanandaSonowal.

Addressing a press conference here today, Boro said that if there is no syndicate in the state then the government should challenge us. He said that syndicate of coal, cattle, and sand are still continued.

The Congress Spokesperson also demanded an investigation on the forest area of Tinsukia adding that many labourers have been affected in illegal coal mining but no cases have been registered against all these.

He also asked as to why the high court has filed suo moto case against the government. He also raised questions on the vast property made by the OC of Margherita and why it has not been investigated yet, asked Boro.

Borofurther informed that they have a list of 19 thieves and that there are somewho could pass through CM's Z Plus security and this person is also involvedwith the coal syndicate. The list has been submitted to the police by theDirectorate of Geology and Mining.

Boroalso said that a highly placed official of Coal India limited, Debojit Bhowmikis also involved with the syndicate.
