Guwahati Commissioner of Police, Deepak Kumar, onFriday felicitated three policemen of Garchuk Police Station. The policemen are– Apurba Roy, Afajur Ali and Dibakar Deka.

They were felicitated for their courage, intelligenceand devotion to duty, for which an ATM breaker namely Arif of Haryana was apprehendedwith ATM cutting instruments and gas cutter while he attempted to loot the ATMfull of cash at Sawkuchi under Garchuk PS on Sunday.

"For their timely action in this regard, an inter-statecriminal who was involved in several such cases could be detected," read a pressrelease by Guwahati Police.
