COVID-19 Assam: 715 Patients Discharged On Wednesday

If fresh positive cases of COVID-19 are cropping up on a daily basis in Assam now, there has also been a steady flow of patients getting discharged after being recovered from the contagion.

On Wednesday, 715 patients of COVID-19 were discharged across Assam.

This was informed by Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. His twitter handled read, "715 patients discharged today in Assam."

The Minister further wrote, "Always remember that good health is your biggest asset. Take care of yourself."  

However, Assam also saw 1088 new cases in the state yesterday, taking the toll of active cases to 6815.

The situation in Assam has been quite grim.

Apart from Guwahati, which has extended its lockdown by a week in view of the rising cases, Jorhat Administration also announced an extension of the lockdown in its municipal and sub-urban areas yesterday.
