COVID-19: Assam Reports 708 New Cases, 13 Deaths

The state of Assam on Friday reported 708 cases of COVID-19, taking the active count of the state to 6,910. The overall caseload of the state is 5,83,458. The positivity rate is 0.74 per cent.

Further, 734 patients have been discharged, while, 13 deaths were reported.

The new cases have been reported from 1,00,079 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, of which the districts with the highest cases are Kamrup Metro (164), Lakhimpur (42), Golaghat (39) and Nalbari (39).

The district wise deaths are – Jorhat (2), Barpeta (1), Dhemaji (1), Dima Hasao (1) Goalpara (1), Karbi Anglong (1), Kokrajhar (1), Majuli (1), Nagaon (1), Nalbari (1), Sivasagar (1) and Tinsukia (1).

The recovery rate of the state has touched 97.63 per cent with 5,69,650, while the death rate of the state has accelerated to 0.95 per cent with a 5,551 fatlaities.
