Dibrugarh: Houses set on fire by miscreants

In yet another sensational incident, miscreants set fire on a number of houses in a village under the Dibrugarh district on Saturday night. The group of miscreants also attacked several people in the village.

Accordingto reports, the incident took place in Ram Singh village under the district.More than five people sustained critical injuries during the incident. Theinjured were rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) and a privatehospital for treatment.

Thereason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, a tensesituation prevailed in the area following the incident.

"Itis the work of miscreants. Luckily no one died. We have registered a caseagainst unidentified persons. Investigations are on," said a Dibrugarh police officer.
