Direct Dibrugarh-Bangkok flight a hoax!

With news of direct flight between Dibrugarh and Bangkok soon to be a reality from September 01, the eastern Assam residents were quite excited to plan their next vacations.

However, it has come to light that it is nothing more than a hoax.

Yes, that is true. There are no direct flights from Dibrugarh to Bangkok, nor will there be any from September 1st.

Seemingly, there were news of one of India's most preferred airlines; SpiceJet that it would operate on the Dibrugarh – Bangkok route from first day of the next month.

But it was found out to be usual flights routes, with connecting flight out of Kolkata after long lay over.

As per the SpiceJet websites, there are no direct flight between Dibrugarh-Bangkok. All they have is the regular afternoon flight from Dibrugarh to Kolkata and then the daily mid night flight from Kolkata to Bangkok.

As the hoax went viral in twitter, Spice Jet clarified that they have taken note of the interest in the sector promising announcement, admitting tacitly and indeed that there are no flights between Dibrugarh and Bangkok.
