Drive Against Child Labour in Golaghat

The Golaghat District Child Protection Committee started a drive against child labour today.


The committee has recovered children who are forced into beggary by their guardians as well the ones illegally engaged as domestic help.

Till the writing of this report, around 5 such children, who were asking for alms in different places of Golaghat, have been reportedly recovered in a joint operation by the District Child Protection Committee, District Legal Services Authority, and Golaghat Police.

The drive, as learnt, is supposed to be day-long.
