Earthquake jolts Assam

A mild intensity earthquake measuring 4.7 on theRichter scale today jolted Assam and neighbouring Nagaland.

The tremors were felt at around 6:40 PM, this evening. The epicenter of the quake is said to be 44 kilometers from Diphu.

No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
