Four forest officials dead in Gaurisagar accident

Fourforest officials were killed and two sustained serious injuries when theirvehicle turned turtle after their lost control over the steering on NH37 inSuntalisiga under Gaurisagar area in the wee hours of Friday.

Accordingto reports, there were six forest officials travelling from Sivasagar town.When they reached near Suntalisiga, the driver lost control and turned turtlebefore falling into a gorge.

Thedeceased were identified as Forest Guard Prashanta Dutta, Forest Guard BipulHazarika, Driver Nijam Ahmed and Priyam. The injured were immediately rushed toa hospital. The injured were Forest Ranger Bubul Baruah, Forest GuardNijamuddin Ahmed.

Thevehicle was a Maruti Gypsy bearing the number AS-04-T-5737.
