GMCH doctor arrested

In asensational incident, a doctor of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH)has been arrested by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (V&AC) Cell of theAssam Police on Tuesday. The doctor allegedly demanded money for a post mortemreport.

Accordingto sources, the doctor has been identified as Manoj Baishya and was arrested bythe Anti-Corruption Cell for allegedly demanding Rs. 50,000 for the post mortemreport from the family of a deceased. As per the complaint, the doctor hastaken Rs. 8,000 from the family members as advance.

Meanwhile,the police have been interrogating Dr. Baishya.
