Launching a drive against illegal drugs, Golaghat Police arrested 7 drug peddlers today.

Acting on a tip-off, the Police did a sudden raid in College Tiniali and Santipur areas of the town, and arrested the said peddlers along with a sizeable amount of drugs.

The names of the arrested ones are Iyasif Ali, Deepjyoti Das, Sahidur Ali, Raktim Hatibaruah, Okoni Das, Papu Ali and Marzina Begum.

The Police have of late started clamping down on the menace of illegal drugs that has gripped the place.
