The Kamrup (Metro) district administration has intervened in the protest of Bir Lachit Sena on Saturday. The organization had planned a protest against Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) but the administration stopped them from protesting in the city.

Theprotestors have been detained in different areas of the city by the police.

Policehave also been deployed in hotels and lodges in Guwahati so that no untowardincident could take place in the city.
