GUWAHATI: Govt likely to impose Night Curfew from 7 pm

In view of sudden spike on Covid-19 positive cases in Guwahati, the Assam health department has decided to adopt stringent preventive measures in the city.

"The night curfew may start from 7 PM instead of 9 PM. Some harsher measures will be coming up," Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said at a presser in Guwahati.

He stated that decision on whether to impose a second lockdown in Guwahati will be taken considering results of the 50,000 tests Government intends to carry out in the city in the next 15 days.

The state Governmentt will take harsher measures if cases spike.
