Guwahati not much effected by Bandh

Pratidin Bureau

The All Assam Bengali Youth Students' Federation (AABYSF) had called a 24 hours Assam Bandh on November 03, in protest of the brutal killings of the five innocent souls, by unknown miscreants, in Dhola, Tinsukia.

The Bandh has had no apparent effect on the functioning of day to day life in Guwahati on Saturday.

Buses were seen plying on the streets with traffic functioning without any disruption. Schools, colleges, commercial establishments also remain open without being affected by the Bandh.

It may be noted that a few supporters of the Bandh attempted to spark violence with provocative remarks, however police had detained those protestors.

It may be noted that the 12 hour Tinisukia  bandh by AABYSF has been called off and also the Moran unit of the organisation has withdrawn its support from the Bandh.
