Guwahati: Pan Shop Association to stop sale Gutkha

Taking an own initiative the Pan Shop Association had come forward to ban the sale of Gutkha and Zarda in Guwahati on Monday.

Keeping in view of the harmful effects of tobacco and nicotine-based chewing products like gutkha and zarda on human health, the association on Sunday during a meeting took the decision.

According to the decision taken they have put a ban on the distribution and sale of these products.

Reportedly, the association criticized the government for neglecting the health issues of the common people and not taking any action in this regard.
