Around ten villages in Barchali area of Hajo revenue circle under Kamrup Metro have been affected by severe floods.

Ten villages including Bhelkar, Tapabari, Andhupara, Sholmari, Doknia have been inundated.

It has been reported there is scarcity of food in these areas due to the deluge

The district administration has been appealed to reach out to the villages with relief supplies especially food for the villagers and the animals.
